About the Wake Forest Panhellenic Comunity

The Wake Forest University Panhellenic community brings together eight sororities centered on sisterhood, service, and leadership. Our community includes seven National Panhellenic Conference sororities—Alpha Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Delta Delta Delta, Delta Zeta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, and Kappa Kappa Gamma—as well as Kappa Beta Gamma, an international women’s sorority that participates in Panhellenic recruitment.

Wake Forest follows a deferred recruitment schedule, meaning formal recruitment takes place at the beginning of the spring semester. Throughout the fall, potential new members can meet members of each chapter and learn more about our community through recruitment events. This time offers a chance to explore the opportunities within sorority life before formal recruitment begins. Visit our Recruitment page for important dates, registration details, and information about the process.

Instead of traditional sorority houses, each chapter has an on-campus lounge where members can spend time together, study, and hold activities. Limited residential spaces above the lounges also give upperclass members the opportunity to live together on their chapter’s hall or suite. Weekly chapter meetings on Monday evenings help members stay connected and informed about upcoming events.

Beyond these everyday connections, sorority life offers meaningful ways to serve and lead. In the spirit of Pro Humanitate, our chapters support a range of philanthropic causes, including Panhellenic’s shared philanthropy, Circle of Sisterhood. Through chapter leadership roles, the Panhellenic Executive Council, and committees, members have opportunities to grow, contribute, and help shape our community.
